Frequently Asked Questions

  1. When and where are the clinics?
    The clinics are Thursday at Boca East Softball Fields – 150 Crawford Blvd, Boca Raton FL
    Beginners: 5 pm – 6 pm & Intermediate: 6 pm – 7pm

  2. What is the cost and how do we pay?
    The cost is $20 a player per session. Payment can be made by cash, check (made payable to USA Elite Training) or Venmo @Kim-Gwydir.

  3. How do I register?
    Our goal is a max ratio of 6:1 player to coach so we ask players to pre-register. For now, text Coach Kim at 786-251-9598. Eventually, we will have online registration and payment.

  4. Is my daughter beginner or intermediate?
    Usually, we say if they have 1 year or less of pitching, they are beginner. Many of the same drills and techniques are used for the intermediate and beginner clinics. The intermediate clinic will progress faster.

  5. Do we need to provide a catcher?
    At some point yes. The first half of both clinics will be drill and technique work. The second half will be to a catcher. The catcher can be a player (must wear catchers gear) or a parent (does not have to wear catchers gear 😊)

  6. What if it rains or there are weather issues?
    If a clinic is cancelled due to weather proper to the start of the event, it will posted on our facebook page. USAEliteTrainingFlorida (make sure you follow the Florida location as there is another location in CT). If the clinic is interrupted by weather, there will be no refund as our instructor has already started the clinic. If needed, you can text Kim at 786-251-9598.

  7. Who is USA Elite Training?
    USA Elite Training Florida is owned by Kim Gwydir. Coach Gwydir was Head Softball Coach at Florida International University for 10 years. In that time, she took the Golden Panthers to several National Top 25 rankings and a regional appearance.  Coach Gwydir’s students have progressed to playing on the US and Canadian National Teams, including a USA Gold Medal winner. All instructors for USA Elite Training are trained by Kim in the same techniques she has developed from her over 30 years of experience.

  8. Can I schedule a private lesson?
    Yes, private lessons are possible. We are working to secure an indoor location in Palm Beach County  but we are currently giving outdoor private lessons. Test Kim at 786-251-9598 for more information
